How to change the SRP ID in BES 5.0

Hi,

Does anyone know how to update the SRP from eval to full license in the BES 5.0 web interface?

Log into BES 5 Administration Service

1. On the left pane, under Server and Components expand BlackBerry Domain topology
2. Expand BlackBerry Domain
3. Expand Server View
4. Expand [your server name]
5. Click on [your server name] >
6. Scroll to the bottom and click on Edit instance
7. Enter the SRP information in the fields provided
8. click Save all.

No worries, 5/10 minutes after changing the SRP details if there is no mail movement just double check the SRP status and see if its connected, you might of entered the ID or Key incorrect.

To check the SRP status just follow my previous steps up to step 5, scroll probably half way and you will see the SRP details and status

Need you help!

Can you plz let me know when upgrading to BES 5.0 from BES 4.1.6, do we need to order new keys or the same commercial keys will work after upgrading..

Will appreciate your quick response !!

Hi,

The CALs from BES 4.1 are compatible with BES 5.0.

Thanks Gary. You are really helpful. In this case, it means that I just need to download the Software 5.0 available on BB site and continue with upgrade. Right?

You will need to purchase a "One Time Upgrade" to BES 5.0 to receive the installation files. As you already have BES 4.1.6 you just need to ensure you meet the hardware, software and security requirement and then logon as BESadmin and run the installer.
