    Eventlog messages on BES 5.0.1

It seems there are some problems with our BES server. It's eventlog is filled with this warning event, always on agent2:

Source: BlackBerry Messaging Agent bbserver.asp.local Agent 2
    MailboxManager::InitializeProfile - OpenMsgStore (0x8004011d)

and as of today I also see these errors and bb users are starting to complain that activation doesn't work:

    Source: BlackBerry Router
SERVICE_RELAY_SESSION:S34780778:0x0125BCA8] Service transaction not found. SERVICESESSION_TAG=20201395

    What could be wrong?

    Hi,

Your BES is unable to connect to Exchange and to correct this issue we need to know what version of Exchange you are running. As an example if you have Exchange 2007 it can indicate that your Public Folders and OAB are unavailable. So if you can post back with the Exchange details and any known changes to the BES or mail server we can assist further.

    Thanks,

    Gary

    Hi Gary,

We're using Exchange 2007 SP2 rollup 2. This is a new environment as well as the BES server.

Are both errors indicative of a connection problem with the mailbox server?

    thanks

PS both the BES5 and Exchange 2007 machines are in the same subnet and Outlook clients have no trouble connecting to their mailboxes.
PS2 another warning started pouring into the eventlog:
MailboxManager::CreateProfile (BES_CDO_8732_88) - ConfigureMsgService (80040115) - Ensure that IPv6 is disabled on the Exchange Server or configure the BES to use the closest global catalog server

Please ensure that you have enabled Public Folders and an Offline Address Book (OAB) and then confirm that you have followed all the steps in my guide below:

    Gary,

Yes this is all as it should be according to your post. Remember most BES users have no problem, but some can't get their BB activated or it takes very long and eventually times out. Because of all those warnings I was wondering if this could be an issue on my side.

    thx

PS I'm cuurently looking into this: http://www.port3101.org/featured-bla...vironment.html but I don't have the eventlog entries indicating this problem...
